Sonnet to That Girl I Saw In Line for the Giant Dipper at the Boardwalk That Time

I saw you getting in the coaster line.
So, nonchalant, I slipped into the queue.
The moment that I saw your face I knew
That I’d give anything to make you mine.
 
You climbed aboard the ride with all your friends
Your shimmering hair a gorgeous sunwashed beach.
I sat behind you, where you were in reach,
But distant from me as the world’s ends.
 
While coasting down, your hair flew in the breeze
And up my nose. I couldn’t help but sneeze.
The ride was short, but as you walked away
I smiled because you had my DNA,
And till you had a chance to use shampoo,
A part of me would be a part of you.
